Getting Ready for Bark at the Park!

Bark at the ParkThis year’s Bark at the Park is scheduled for May 10th at Valley Park in Hurricane.

My dogs are HUGE fans of Bark at the Park! Valley Park is very dog friendly and even has doggie “clean up” bags available for when nature calls, just in case you forget your own. Valley Park’s extensive walking trails that are great for both people and pooches. The lakes and trees provide the perfect scenery to help your mind and body relax as you walk.

Bark at the Park is a great time to socialize with other dog lovers. In the past they’ve had activities like agility demonstrations, microchip tagging, pet related crafts and of course dogs from the Putnam Animal Relief Center available for adoption. I’ve even seen brave little kittens there for adoption!

Registration begins at 9:30am at the large shelter. Your $10 registration fee includes t-shirt & doggie bandana. Hope to see you there!

Hillary, this is the Bark in the Park from 2008! They’re doing it again this year but I haven’t checked the dates - someone at Putnam County Animal Relief could probably tell you.
