Ideas for Keeping the Love Alive
Yes, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. It’s wonderful to get little tokens of love and appreciation on a special day! But even better is to have a strong, loving relationship all year long.
Want some easy ways to show your sweetie how much they mean to you? Don’t wait for Valentine’s Day. Try some of these free (or nearly free) ideas anytime:
- Say Thank You for the little things they do for you.
- Send your sweetie a real love letter, in the mail. (This is especially good if they’re the one to check the mail!)
- Kiss each other goodbye in the morning. In the evenings, a hug and a kiss is a great way to start the night right.
- Arrange to swap babysitting with a friend to schedule a surprise night out.
- Leave a little Post-it love note on their steering wheel, so they drive to work with a smile.
- Start planning a summer vacation now. Talk about it, show how excited you are about spending time with each other.
- Call from work just to say, “I love you.”
- Have a set “No TV Night”. (Hey, with TiVo, you’re not even missing anything!)
- Take your sweetie back to the place “where it all began” and share your memories.
- Say, “I’m happy we’re together.” No, it’s not as corny as you think.
Have any ideas of your own? Please share them with us in the comments!
Thanks!

Great ideas as usual Sarah! I started sending hubby all the chain letters I get, telling him that I love him and want to protect him with all of my e-mail angels. I’m not sure if he likes that one or not, but I tell him I love him multiple times a day now
