If You Are In Danger of Losing Your Home, Read This
I am a real estate agent. I don’t think I’ve even mentioned that in the Scoop yet, but there it is. I don’t plan to use this blog to try to develop business, but only to be kind of like chatting to a neighbor over the fence. I want this blog to feel a little like home when you visit.
But sometimes there are things that come up that we really need to talk about. I know a lot of people now are losing their homes due to foreclosure. I hate that, because usually I am seeing people so happy to have their new home. I like to think about them making wonderful memories there.Most of the time this is just how it goes. But sometimes difficulties arise, and instead of a happy home there is stress and despair.
If you are struggling with your finances, please don’t wait until it’s too late to take action. Waiting until desperation sets in makes you vulnerable in so many ways. If you fear that you may be in danger of losing your home to foreclosure, call your lender to try to work things out. They would rather work things out with you rather than try to sell your house for a fraction of what it’s worth. If it comes down to it, call an agent to sell your home while you still have a reasonable amount of time available.
