If You Want to See the Pink Bridge - Hurry
The pink bridge near Huntington’s Ritter Park is due to be painted over in white this Saturday. The bridge was originally painted pink by Jason Sansom of Barboursville who wanted to draw attention to breast cancer awareness. Neighbors complained but the city of Huntington allowed the bridge to stay pink from 2006 until now.
Medical students from Marshall University will be painting the bridge - and in keeping with Jason’s vision, will be handing out literature on breast cancer awareness while they paint.
