Quantitative color measurement for black walnut wood.

Black walnut (Juglans nigra L.) veneer specimens with wide variations in color were evaluated by a quantitative method of color measurement. The internationally adopted CIE system of colorimetry was used to analyze the data. These data were converted to also show them in the Munsell system. Color differences among the walnut veneer specimens were also numerically specified. 1967
