Soft Close Hinge Adaptors

Adding the soft-close option to existing hinges is becoming more and more convenient. March 28, 2015

Question
I have a customer with clip on Grass hinges on their cabinets that they would like to upgrade to soft close. Does Grass make a clip on soft close hinge? All I could find on line were one piece hinges. Or does anyone else make a soft close hinge that uses the same bore pattern?

Forum Responses

From contributor F:
Yes, they make a clip on soft close adapter. They also make a soft close hinge but they more than likely will not fit the clips.

From contributor X:
If you don't want to go through the trouble of changing out the hinges and plates you could just use the adapters that mount to the cabinet. You could probably use them from any brand (Salice, Grass, Blum).

From contributor F:
The Grass adapter is pretty slick, they just snap onto the hinge - no tools.
