Urea Resin Glue on Paper-Backed Veneer

Urea resin glue works well with paper-backed veneer (but scuff sand the paper first). October 19, 2013

Question
Can you use urea resin glue on a paper backed veneer?

From contributor P:
Absolutely. I've done it dozens of times, specifically with Unibond 800. I can't think of a glue that would be better.

From John Van Brussel, forum technical advisor:
Yes. I would advise that you scuff sand the paper backing to get rid of the machine glaze on the paper back. This will allow the glue to get better purchase.
