Oh, It’s the Wiener Dogs
FestivALL is still going on with lots of exciting things for the whole family. This is all about ART, and as West Virginians (in my humble opinion) are an incredibly creative lot, there’s a lot to see and do!
FestivALL celebrates theater, dance, music and visual arts. It’s about expressing yourself and appreciating what is unique and beautiful in each of us. Many events are free, but if not you’ll find all the necessary information on the FestivALL website. There’s something for everyone, browse their website and treat yourself to something fun.
This weekend, don’t miss the Capitol Street Art Fair or Wine and All That Jazz (featuring the Ellis Marsalis Quartet) on the lawn at the University of Charleston Saturday evening from 2:00 to 10:00. Mountain Stage with Larry Groce will be live from the Clay Center on Sunday at 7:00. (One of my favorites, Jakob Dylan of the Wallflowers, will be among the guests.)
But of all this excitement, what has my family liked best?

If you have the chance to check out the Ellis Marsalis group, do it! He is a beloved icon in New Orleans and has done so much to educate future musicians.
