Put WV on the Map
Earth Day is this Wednesday, April 22nd, and EarthMosaic is looking for photographs from EVERYWHERE to create a mosaic of the earth.
To participate, step outside on Wednesday and take a photo. Then go to the EarthMosaic site and look for the Upload button. (If you don’t see it, it’s because it’s not Earth Day, patience!) Photos should be in JPEG format up to 500 KB in size with a Creative Commons (Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike) license and readable EXIF, which allows them to verify the date. They’ll ask you for your name and country. That’s it - easy, huh? They’ll use this mosaic creator for the project.
You can also add your photos to their Flickr group and watch the gorgeous photos pour in throughout the day, get updates through Twitter or join their Facebook Group.
Get out there and show the world our pretty West Virginia springtime!

Except it’s supposed to rain here. Blech.
