The Redding Brothers
Recently I had the extreme good fortune of meeting and photographing the Redding Brothers, a trio of brothers from Scott Depot, WV who are out to prove that Rock & Roll can save the world.
Well, they have me convinced. : )
The brothers are Micah (guitar and lead vocals), Josiah (bass, keyboards, electric guitar and high tenor vocals) and Gabriel Redding (drums, keyboards and tenor vocals). They harmonize beautifully. I couldn’t help it, when they sang, I smiled.
True singer/songwriters, these independent rockers even challenged themselves to write and record a song a week. You can hear the results yourself here. (All that talent and they’re geeks on top of that — they did the math and a year is 52.177457 weeks, so their last song is actually .177457th of a song.) A sense of humor, talent like that and brains, I’m sorry — that’s just hot! (I can say that here, right?)
If you’d like to hear them live, please check out their concert schedule. You can buy their music here and add them to your Last.fm playlist here. (Click that last one and it will play automatically, go on and listen!) You can also see more of the pictures I took of them here.
I love their sound and I was impressed with them personally. It was an honor and a treat to get to meet them and I hope to hear lots more from them in the future! (And guys, if you ever want me to follow you around with my camera again, please let me know!)

Cool! It’s always good to hear about good, local musicians to support! Live music is always better!
