What’d Ya Say, Freddie?

Picnik'ed Icicles

After a week of snow days with the kids, I am really hoping French Creek Freddie wakes up on Groundhog’s Day tomorrow and predicts an early spring for West Virginia.  If he sees his shadow we’re in for 6 more weeks of winter.  No shadow and we get a nice, early spring.  He’s a smart rodent, he’s usually right.

To make up for our snow days, the Putnam county school system has added four days onto the end of the school calendar.  School will now be in session until June 5th.  (Sorry, kids.)

As pretty as our West Virginia winters are, I’m ready for some spring.  I really, really am.
