You Make My Day!
(I make someone’s day!!)
I got a You Make My Day Award from Just a Modern Guy — which really makes it that much cooler. Just a Modern Guy is a blog from The Purple Moon, THE place for vintage mid-century wants. I mean furniture. Accessories. No, I mean WANTS. It’s just all the best lustables, all in one spot. (They’re at 716 Lee Street in Charleston, hint-hint — or you can also check out their shop online.)
The You Make My Day Award works like this:
1) Write a post with links to 5 blogs that make me think and/or make my day
2) Acknowledge the post of the award giver
3) Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news!
I am passing this award along to:
- Carpe You Some Diem by Rebecca Burch, who teaches art at Charleston Catholic. I like her so much I want to traumatize my kids by moving them to her school. She’s the kind of teacher EVERY kid deserves! (The art department even has a blog, Art:304!)
- Chickens in the Road by Suzanne McMinn, a West Virginia author who is about to move into her new home. As a real estate agent, I can totally relate to her excitement, and I love the way she’s taking us along for the ride.
- Clark County Real Estate Guide by Dale Chumbley and Chris Hyde, an agent and a lender blogging in tandem. What makes it so nice is that it’s not just about real estate, they’ll show you around town and even make you feel like a member of the family. It’s a blog with heart, and that matters.
- MiamismPix by Ines just because her pictures from paradise make me happy. Hard to see those palm trees and blue skies and not be happy!
- Title-opoly by Ed Rybczynski speaks mainly to the title industry, but I find that a lot of what he says can work for me (or anyone) who blogs. When he says the title companies should be blogging and here’s why — he means the rest of us, too.
There you go, five blogs that make my day, just in case you need something new to read !
